During everything that's going on in Haiti a police officer shot three boys in the back for supposedly looting rice. One of the boys lies with his life hanging in the balance and another boy that cant move but can talk gives his decription of what has just happened. He says that the bags of rice they were looting" were gifts. A higher ranked officer arrives, says that this shooting has been a horrible thing and says he's calling a ambulance then disappears. The ambulance never arrived. One man was a bystander waiting for a bus; ironically he was a solid Christian and applying to be a police officer. (if this description shook u up, you dont want to watch the video posted below)

In all honesty, iFeel like CNN's taping of the dead bodies in the Haiti earthquake crisis is disrespectful, especially when you won't show the bodies of dead american soldiers "to be marked respected". (what makes a particular corpse more respectable than another?) However, i really have a huge aversion for bullshit authority figures that over use their powers. Sadly, shit like this happens quite often and despite how much ppl say they're gonna change things (cops), nothing gets changed. Even if those boys were looting, who are you to shoot them. This is simple survival.

Reaction to the Duke Ellington Situation

As an alum of Duke Ellington School of the Arts' class of 2007, the news that my alma mater may be moved does nothing but rub me in a bad way.

Starting as a Sophomore in fall 2004, I walked the halls in a Jerry West jersey and Timberlands admiring the women, creativity and the aura of a place, that in my three year stay, became home. Lunchtime rap ciphers with my boys, arts block and an endless supply of inspiration walking through the halls got me through my day to day. The back breaking hours spent in a room with the same people everyday in an aim to put on a show was a bittersweet process that we grew to love and bask in after it was all said in done. We grew up to love the people we didn't like in many cases. We aimlessly became a family, held together with words, hues, and actions unrivaled by any other school i could think of. We did a lot of finding ourselves there. We fell in love with 3500 R st NW.

Jus the other day somebody hit me up n told me that they were trying to move Ellington out of DC's affluent Ward 2 area. They're saying that they need a neighborhood school for Ward 2 families (and Ellington is on that piece of land that they want!?).... I'm not feeling that. I think that's bullshit.... When Ellington, was opened in 1974 I'd assume that there were 2nd ward families there as well....question is, why is this a big deal to them almost 40 years later? I'm just not the one for having something i worked towards (for/in), for any significant amount of time, be taken from me in a matter of seconds; that's robbery. If this isn't robbery then I don't know what is. Maybe it's because of the black and brown faces that decorate the halls and classrooms that they want to take this from us.

I feel like that school was a blessing to me. Too much trouble, i was too familiar with, lurked inside my neighborhood school, I didn't wanna go to my neighborhood school and get involved in a lot of shit that my niggas was startin to get in to. Essentially it was the placing where my school was that brought a certain kind of energy out of me as well as many otherts. No trouble, it was serene in Georgetown. A lot of us needed that. It was a beautiful daily escape from what was waiting in the neighborhoods we hailed from.

Moving Ellington is like moving history. For fuckin Christ's sakes, this isn't like moving a library or a baseball stadium. This is moving something that has been cemented into the lives and hearts of many people. This is moving a home with a weak excuse to go along with it and I'm not feeling that at all.

I came in a boy that enjoyed writing and left a young man wielding knowledge that would forever be ingrained in the way I live my life. Graduation day came too quick and I didn't realize how much i missed it there until a whole term in to freshman year of college. In receiving news that they are trying to move my home, I look forward to hearing news that Ellington has earned it's stay. I'm not takin this sitting down.

In light of the recent disaster's in Haiti, I woke up this morning and put a prayer into the sky and continued to enlighten myself on the situation. Concidering the poverty that the common people of the nation suffer from, this comes to me as an event that knocks 2005's Hurricane Katrina on it's back side.

Looking at this, I realize more and more why I give thanks every morning and continually count my blessings. This is very devastating and I'm curious as to what the official statistics are, but I'm not looking forward to seeing such horrifying figures. My heart and prayer continues to go out to those who have suffered from this horrendous event. Once again, I stress that we all count our blessings and rejoice in what we have as opposed to sulking in what we don't.

These are just the simple things that we should forever be grateful for in a world where everyone else doesn't have the basic things that we concider to be vital pieces in our lives. Shout out to my homegirl Allison for puttin me on to this really good read, that I encourage you all to take a look at. In response to the article I simply have to say, wtf DC. If it's not a little boy getting shot by cops for riding a "stolen bike", cops pulling guns on unarmed snowball fighters, or cops committing hit and runs on "armed suspects" its a-mothafuckin-nother.

Now if you're (women only as iPerceive) caught with more than two condoms in your purse you can be arrested under suspicion of prostitution. Nevermind the fact that the HIV ratio in the nations capital is 1 and 20, it seems like the solution to the issue is arresting women with one too many Trojans in her possession smh. Let's put a few scenarios to work where ladies'll more than likely have more than two condoms on them.

Scenario One: Leaving a Drugstore
Say my girlfriend, lady friend, sister or whatever are leaving a CVS or Rite Aid. Tonights the night and amongst everything they buy they decide to grab a box of rubbers. A few blocks later in her trek to wherever she has to be she's stopped by cops and the condoms are found. Despite a bit of accute embarassment that could possibly come with such a situation, should the law be allowed to further that embarassment by cuffing her and putting her in the back of the squad car on "suspicion"?

Scenario Two: Leaving an HIV Clinic
A young lady enters a center for HIV and STD testing. Upon finding out that she tested negative to all sexual ailments, she's allowed a breath of relief and grabs a handful of free condoms on her way out (as most of us do). Should that joy of knowing that she's taking the proper steps to protect herself be cut short, because she grabbed too many kid catchers?

Scenario Three: Walking Late With a Male Friend
Suppose me and one of my bestfriends who happens to be a girl are walking together. The sun has set hours ago and we are enjoying each others company tied up in conversation and laughter. Police cruise aside of us and exit the vehicle to search us on "suspicion" and find condoms in her purse (i've never had sex with my bestfriend). Should our moment be cut short because she is perceived as a prostitute for being too safe with her future sexual endeavors?

To answer all of these questions, FUCK NO!! I think the police should sit in front of Oxford's and examine the word suspicion a little closer, because in this case they're treating condoms like bloody knives and cocaine. This is ludicrous in every sense of the word, and sadly some young lady with a bright future and too many condoms is probably getting booked as i publish this post.

In a previous post, i wrote to all my beautiful young black women how important slf preservation was. I pretty much just got girls Hip to all the dumb shit that they ignore and endure in "relationships" with dumb niggas. Not too long ago someone i know had a child. I'm proud of her for going through with bringing a beautiful life into this world and enduring the sacrifice yet enjoying the upbringing of her seed.

However we still have girls stuck in the wrong mind set. Simply put, they got they priorities fucked up. In bringing life comes an experience that should be held with your seed. Acknowledging to self all the small developments into a being you created and all that. The bond between a parent and child (especially a single mother) should be a journey where one seeks the acknowledgment of two from the flower they watch blossom. I luv yall black girls, but truth be told, a few of you need to accept priority. This aint a piece being pro-man, but all the blame can't be put on one. As admitted in my previous post, niggas be on some dumb shit. However, that shouldn't be taken as an excuse to place blame where one could've upheld.

In a matter of hours Chocolate City was full of white, no gentrification puns intended. Dreading to have to shovel 24 inches of snow i hoped that the weather forecasts were inaccurate, but at the avail of nature we got plenty snow to go around. At least I shoveled it down some. Now i don't gotta worry about it being as heavy when I step back out today (looks at clock)....an hour. Burr isn't even the word. My hands felt like i been punchin ice blocks and freeze pops all day lol.

Despite the weather, i still chilled with a few of my boys that I don't see that much. Since we don't see eachother as much as we did when we was younger, we make it a point to catch up when we come home from school; sit in the Impala, bang the bass, go HD, shoot the shit then we part ways.

My homegirl put me on game yessuhday when we was uptown celebratin everybody bein home again, and it looks like it's gonna be epic. The Black Keys and a slew of Legendary Artists formed by Damon Dash are compiling an album under the name Blak Roc. It's not a label, but it sorta seems like the equivalent to the red and black NWO of the Hip Hop Arena. I don't necessarily think Dame is tryna clash with Hov's Roc Nation, but holding on to the "Roc" comes off as him holding on to sumfin that he pretty much got robbed for.

Sittin back on the plush leather couch, blowin on some uptown good and lissenin to the recordin session in the webisodes brought a feeling of nostalgia; a feeling takin me back to why I fell in love with music.

This is like the Hip Hop Super Friends/Rap Justice League joining forces in the name of the music and on the strength of the respect they have for Dame. This compilation is gonna be sick, you wait and see. Here go a few of the webisodes.

Upon seeing this, my boy proceeded to tear this guy a new asshole in a very intellectually charged argument. I on the otherhand have something a little bit shorter to say than my mans did...These are kids on a COLLEGE CAMPUS (what college? idk). That being said, they're seeking some form of enlightenment in an aid to better assist them in their lives to come. So fuck off, because I'm almost 100% sure that if these niggas ran in ur crib masked up and strapped, you'd wish they only "made modern day minstrel show videos".

My advice is simply let the kids be kids and before you say something about them lissen to the older generations music (The 50's had songs about backrubs and taking baths) and think about the times where your mother probably kicked in your door with riot gear screamin, "Turn that ignorant Busta Rhymes/Nas/Mobb Deep/Outkast shit off, makin black people look bad with those big pants on. Just a bunch of noise, aint no singing. Where's the music!?".

In the end, maybe you don't like it because you aren't the intended audience...you weren't susposed to like it, and this isn't as political as you tried to make it. the new year is steadily approaching and I wanna review my year in 2009 really kwik.

January- i missed the Obama Inauguration back home in DC, kinda on purpose. I cant deal with 4 million tourists in my city trying to catch the train and taking pictures of all the shit that i've become desensitized to (monuments and museums) from seeing all my life.

February- took my first flight, destination East Lansing, Michigan. That was my first time leaving the east coast too. Went up there to chill wit my girl the weekend before our 11th monthiversary (made that up). First real valentine too. High school was the skirt chasin era.

March- The struggle my nigga.....shit was tuff. had a crib in west philly, niggas was late on bills cuz, none of us could find internships, food was scarce. Washer n dryer was floodin the basement, hot water was off, then the water was off all together and to top it all off....i was sober becuz i didnt have an internship yet smh. Cigarettes would then come into play (no bueno). I did however get my first glimpse of Amber Rose tho =)

April- Same shit...and my birthday. 20 is a blessing.

May- A young nigga finally got a gig. Shit was a blessing, but my money was far too long fucked up to get back on top of my shit again. All prioritized cakes in my wallet. shit was thee worst

June- I left Philly and went back home on the 26th. Broke up wit my girl the same day (got back together a week later), then went hard on Carribean Day Weekend wit my brothers. 2 days later (despite some harsh news) me, lady une, and Hip went in on life. June 28,2009 set the precedent for the rest of my summer.

July- I really dig the travelin thing. This time me, my kween and her mother took a trip to NC. My first time in the south. I wake n baked and went in the back yard and play with wolves. I got my internship in DC too. Made some money and got a lil fresh for the season. Got my chest tat a lil earlier that month too. Swaggin on these niggas in a v-neck erryday lol. Stuntacious, I made sure ppl was gon see my shit.

August- I started workin out again. My shit was on point til like Mid October when i stopped lol. I stacked a few coins too. Blew that shit on CDs and a Blackberry.

September-Sadly, i spent most of September talking about Kanye simple ass at the MTV awards. When i came back to school in Philly, my homegirl WiMo put me on game to this dope ass spot in Fairmount Park and lecture was already being skipped on park trips.

October- I introduced my man EJ to WiMo and we instantly became a team. TFY Ho. HD Since Day One. My girl came to visit me up in Philly for Halloween wknd and guess wut...the wretched period reared its hideous head. That was thee L!!

November- Classes n midterms. I got my work-study in the math office and i realized how much I've been neglecting The Vagabond Speaks once again. Sorry guys. HD posts comin soon.

December- Hundreds of jays and -40 lbs later i reach now, and I'll try my best to keep up with my blog. Sorry once again.

Let's see what 2010 got in store for me and my team. Hopefully more money, brocolli and bigger music; but looks like we have to wait n see.

Concidering all of the beneficial products that could be made from hemp (a product that comes from the marijuana plant), i dont feel like marijuana should be illegal. It would save trees (no pun intended) as it can be used to make paper, foods, clothing, body oils and many other things as well. For those of you who may not know, you can NOT use Hemp to get high. Since marijuana is illegal, hemp is illegal as well.

If marijuana is made federally legal, it would most definitely cut back on crime and it could boost our economy moving us out of the recession in a short matter of years. The War on Drugs has failed. Concider how much money goes into patrolling for drugs and the court fees for the prosecution of the violators (some of which have never committed a violent/unethical crime in their life). Now concider how many marijuana users are in the nation....I'm not talking about making it medically legal, I'm talking about making it full on legal. As of yet there are no definite long term health risks that scientists have found linked to marijuana use, unlike nicotine and alcohol.

I've never heard of any marijuana induced casualties in the U.S., nor have i ever seen anyone get wreckless with any authority figures due to marijuana use (imagine a pothead stoned out of his mind tryna fight cops cuz "the weed made him do it"). Marijuana has been medically legalized in over 10 states in the U.S., but its still a crime under Federal statute. Give me a break, "Prozac only makes you kill yourself....now take this prescription, and if the police pull you over and find your Prozac show him your prescription. Its very much federally legal.

In our nation, drugs are classified by levels of how dangerous they are. Marijuana is placed in the same classification as heroin?! Prove it....nuff said. I'm not writing this post as a user of marijuana, nor as a far left winged liberal minded artist, but instead as a logical young mind in a time of recession and constant contradiction.

It's been a second since i blogged on a personal level. Pardon, my absense y'all. I'm really trying not to make my blogs so far and in between. Just bare with me.

In my absense i found a song and video from Cheech and Chong called "Basketball Jones". The video is handsdown the greatest expression of a rose growing from concrete I've ever seen in my 20 years living.

This video takes on a lot of stereotypical images of black americans but in a sense i feel like it's a necessary part of the story. Like this kid comes from a piece of shyt neighborhood if i've ever seen one. Police cars everywhere, delapidated housing is apparent and there's a nigga stealing a T.V. And there comes the young Basketball Jones. He's alone, singing alone and as the story goes on more and more people come on his side and the band even gets bigger.

He never had anything at all, except basketball and it took him to the championship, and then took him to become bigger. He in the end grows to b on top of the world, all from doing sumfin that he luvd and used to escape his poor past out of necessity.

This is heavily related to HipHop if u ask me. This poor kid from the projects rises above the odds and makes it out. He talks shyt abt how great he is at ball. It's all he ever had, how dare he play and not beast out on everything in site. It's like the Jay- Z story if u ask me. The super come-up, and then he got to a point where nobody could tell him anything. He brought the whole world together doing sumfin he was great at and despite how fucked up his story is, fact of the matter is that he made it out and gave back to them all.

While promoting her role in the new Tyler Perry film 'I Can Do Bad All By Myself' the 'Heard it Through the Grapevine' singer took the time to voice her disdain for rap, claiming that the music has negatively impacted the black community due to its vulgar and disrespectful vocabulary.

It's been bad, in my opinion, as far as the quality of the music and the stories that they tell. It's one thing to be raw about your history, but they took it to another level and it became vulgar," Knight said.In addition to finding rap generally distasteful due to its lyrical content, Knight also criticized the quality of the musicianship, contending that hip hop has never "elevated our industry musically.

"Her main concern, however, is the effect of the music on the black community. "It definitely has not elevated us as African-Americans, because we show disrespect for our partners, men and women," Knight explained. Before i start, i think it's easy to say that if ur a follower of my blog that u should know what my opinion is going to be. I love Gladys Knight and I respect the body of work that she's compiled over the past 50 plus years, however I'm tired of older generations bashing Hip Hop music and culture.

I'm more than sure that Gladys Knight much like (ahem) Oprah is basing her opinion on Hip Hop out of ignorance. She sees the gang signs, scantily clad women and violence at the Source Awards; but overlooks the good that rappers bring back to the community by way of nonprofits and charity organizations. She doesn't see the rappers that aren't heavily egotistical, gaudy and chauvenist (Stalley, Lupe, Canibal Ox, Jean Grae, Super Natural and a slew of other enlightening emcees). Most of the time the most "destructive" of these rappers are the ones to bring these things back to the community.

Great example of , Mississippi bred emcee David Banner. Banner's biggest hit to this day is more than likely "Like a Pimp" from his mainstream debut, Mississippi. The next single was "Caddilac on 22s", a socially conscious and rather political track in which he paints the picture of the south over lighly laid guitars, bass kicks and cow bells. He touches on poverty, racism, desperation, and the hardships that one is more than likely destined to take on as a balck in the deep south of America. In all actuality that song got the Emmit Till case re-opened. David is a college grad and holds a Masters Degree and gives a nice lump of his royalties to charities for kids to get toys, for families to be fed and for kids to get scholarships; "Like a Pimp" (the more destructive of the two) brought in the money for such. "Caddilac on 22s" didnt.

So i guess we can say that in Hip Hop there exists a Robin Hood theory amongst these artists; they destroy a little bit to give back something bigger to the people in exchange for an opportunity to live a better life. Whether Robin Hood was right or wrong is up for debate, but fact of the matter is Robin was a humanitarian much like 50 Cent (g-unity), Nelly (fo sho fo kids), Ludacris (Ludacrismas and a ton of other organizations), Snoop Dogg who coaches little league football and Rick Ross who gives school materials and clothes to less fortunate Florida kids.

Gladys, Vagabond luvs u, but nothing can establish a clear understanding if there's a biased opinion. All Hip Hop isn't hoes shakin for dollars, cocaine and gunplay (and i luv that kinda rap). It seems that you look past the fact that Styles P can shoot shyt up his whole album, but then give you a reality check on a track with Pharoah Monch or the Roots. It seems that you couldn't look past the Niggaz and Fuck the Polices that NWA screamed back in 1988, and in not being able to do so you missed how political Ice Cube and the rest were on a subconscious level.

Instead of talking at these rappers, try talking to them. I'm more than sure she could sit down and have an intelligient talk with The Game, T.I. and 50 Cent....after all you do take checks from these niggas when they decide to sample you....yet i digress. I luv you, but don't be ignorant.

This is sumfin i kept a bit of an eye on. I figured that it would be a murder from jump street, but didn't wanna outrule it as a kidnapping or anything before i knew for certain. Her murderer was a co-worker and was also a lab technician. He was charged with Murder. He has yet to enter a plea. Annie Le, the murder victim, was a graduate student at Yale University. Her body was found on Sunday, September 13, 2009; the day that she was scheduled to get married.

Pet Peeve: Express Grocery Lines

Two days ago after a good workout, me n my boys went to the Giant to buy groceries. I don't really want too much of anything, just some 2% milk so i can rehydrate wit a bowl or 2 of cereal. After i grab the half gallon carton i make my way to the line....the express line, where only 3 people are in front of me. All with their carts filled with about 20 real ass grocery items and i think to myself....that's not express.

Pardon me if i'm wrong, but i don't think 15-20 items should be concidered express. That's enough to last you for the week. As i sat there and watched errbody wit these full ass carts in the express line in comparison to me with this one lil carton of milk, i wondered who designed the guidelines for this line and if they had a thesaurus when they did it. My whole thing is if i'm behind 3 people in the "express line" i shouldn't have to stand in line for more than 5 minutes. While it's takin everybody else about 5 minutes a piece to get their stuff rung up, bagged and paid for; I was in it out in like 45 seconds (if that long) when i got to the front of the line.

If ur gonna create sumfin and name it after the ideal it's based on....then make sure the damn ideal fits the reality of the situation....jus sayin, i coulda sat in the regular line for all that. Maybe, im just impatient....but i'd assume the EXPRESS line was for the people that didn't have enough patience to wait in the REGULAR line. Epiphany, lower the express line to a five item limit or sumfin, i mean damn. I don't want to hang around a grocery store. I just want to buy my XXL mag, milk, or whatever single item i grab and be able to get thru an express line.....expressly.

Nancy alerted me to my error and explained that Maia has been diagnosed with bi-polar/manic depression. And because substance abuse is involved she has co-occurring disorder, which has symptoms similar to schizophrenia.
In short, Maia is mentally ill and has a substance abuse problem.
Nancy returned my phone call to her and shared some important and good news: Maia is in treatment. And she said that there is hope for Maia’s recovery but the prayers of “50,000,000″ people can make the difference, because Maia doesn’t like to stay in treatment, and her treatment involves drug withdrawal as well as treatment for her disorders.
Nancy was awestruck by the wonderful comments left on our site and by the general outpouring of support. She asked me to tell you that Maia’s disorders are exasperated and sent out of control by substance abuse. Pre-existing and early onset bi-polar, clinical depression and schizophrenia can be sent out of control by marijuana (the worst culprit), alcohol and of course, synthetic and street drugs.

My Response to the Maia Campbell Videos

In recent days a new video of Maia spazzin out in a car (of which i am not posting for dignitary reasons) has surfaced on the internet (aside from her topless singing video a while back). After watching the video it's easy to cross judgement on her and make her out to be a monster and a nasty person. However, what many people don't know is that Maia Campbell (daughter of author Bebe Moore Campbell, whom i've had the pleasure to meet b4 her passing) has a mental illness. Her mom's memoir 72 Hour Hold is based on her relationship with her daughter (in the book she isnt identified by name or relationship) and the effects of her illness on the family, their relationship and the harsh reality that surrounds Maia's world.

I'm not exactly sure what she has, but fact of the matter is for anyone to consciously play onto sumone's disabilty is sick, disgusting, despicable, deplorable and flat out wrong. How dare you? I, for the record, do not suffer from a mental disorder; never in my life has it been a reality to me until about a few months ago, upon discovering that someone very close to me suffers from the hardships of a mental illness. I value them the same and in return i gain trust and i see that little by little they're gaining strength and overcoming hurdles that their disorder throws in their way, and despite setbacks i see them get frustrated....dust off and try back to climb their mountain in a hope to one day hail from the top with a sense of accomplishment in knowing that they made it.

Maia's situation, may be a little different from the person i'm familiar with, but i'm left to wonder where her family and friends are to help her. I realize that this is a hard road to trailblaze alone, and if any of my readers have done so i commend you, for i see that even with a support system its still not easy. The cautions that they face are still very much prevalent and risks are still high.

My heart and prayer goes out to Maia Campbell (and anybody else in her situation) in wishing that she becomes healthier and stays safe from the monsters that are mental disorders. In the meantime y'all should do the knowledge and learn to see people for who they genuinely are before beginning to pass judgement. It's not fair to anyone to have to deal with those kinds of pains while we (yes, we) run around ignorant of someone else's reality and assuming the kind of being they are. We should all take a moment to remove ourselves from ourselves and take a look at the world in third person, as far away from personal biases as possible and then maybe we'll discover a key part in unity through mutual and genuine understanding.

So this terrorist that blew up a plane in Ireland with over a hundred people aboard (Among those on the plane were a slew of American passengers; not that them being American matters, a death is a death) get's released from prison because he's dying of cancer.....So they sent him to home (where he'd b accepted as a hero, as portrayed by the media) to die.....

They couldn't do that for Tookie Williams...and he allegedly killed 3 people in a convenience store in LA store. This isnt to say that if Tookie did commit the murders, he wasnt wrong. WOW: Alleged rapist files charges against victim in Sweden on HIV infection grounds

Helsingborgs Dagblad, a Swedish newspaper, reported Monday that a man who has been arrested for sexual assault, has now pressed charges against the woman, whom he allegedly attacked, for not disclosing that she had HIV.

The incident happened in Helsingborg where the woman and the man took a taxi together. The man supposedly lured the woman up to his apartment stating that he was going to give her money for the taxi fare, and it is there that the incident is alleged to have happened.

The woman claims that he then forced her to have intercourse and participate in other sexual activities. She has explained that she begged him to use a condom, but to no avail. It was only when she told him that she had children waiting at home, that he let her go.

The man, on the other hand, told the police that he had paid her 3,512 Swedish krona (US$483) as he believed her to be a prostitute and that he was both sexually excited and drunk. He told the police that the reason she pressed charges against him was that she wanted to save herself. It is not confirmed whether the man has been infected. Sexual assault in Sweden is punishable by a minimum of two years in prison.

The AKZion Figures EP

***This was susposed to b the follow up to my pretty well received AKZionz ReAKZion mixtape (roughly 1,000 downloads to date; DL from the top of my blog). I posted videos on Vimeo and Youtube in search of beats. Some of which worked, most of which didn't at all concidering the sound i was trying to go for. In the wake of me coming back to DC from Philly this summer, me and my brother Hipnosis came up with the grand idea to follow up last springs mixtape Brothas in Arms. This was to be our reassurgence into raw mixtape rap. Jackin beats and ownin em. Puttin raw lyricism into perspective. This was susposed to be the third Mixtrape in Hipno's triloigy of mixtrapes this summer, with the title "I'm Hip: Brothas in Arms 2". However this project took a backseat to another "T.H.C." (The Hipnosis Chronicles) based Mixtape wit the brother Sol Zahran. I just wrote my first verse for this project yesterday and this should be pretty interesting to people that've heard my music. I'm gon b doin some experimenting wit this EP. Bare with me, lissen wit ur heart not wit ur ears.

1) Bob Dylan- Desire
That nigga Bob went in with political tracks like "Hurricane" and stories like (my favorite song ever) "One More Cup of Coffee". This album opened me up to music that wasnt Hip Hop and broadened my horizons for wut good music is.

2) Notorious B.I.G.- Ready to Die
This is thee Most Complete Hip-Hop album in the history of Hip-Hop. Big was hungry for his spot. Nothing was left untouched on this album; Story tellin, Braggadocio shyt, Gangsterism, Joints for the Shorties, Personal Joints. For any Hip-Hop head, Ready to Die is the quintessential album for ur collection.

3) Purple Rain- Prince
This doesn't need an explanation.....it's fuckin Prince. That nigga is like every God known to man wrapped up in one and handed a guitar. (this is my number 1 favorite album)

4) NWA- Straight Outta Compton
Cube set all them up wit the bars (don't act like u thought Eazy E could actually write, he admitted Cube writes for him on the 8Ball rmx). This was a controversial album for understandable reasons, but the political undertone is more than ignored in this album. This album change the game forever....FOREVER!!!!

5) Ghostface Killa- Ironman/Supreme Clientele
My favorite emcee came wit the hard on these too albums...so i always have a hard time choosin which one i like more. Ironman was more organic and raw wit joints like "260", "Black Jesus" and "Winter Warz" (Cappadonna was spittin his face off. I heard it was a freestyle too). I didn't appreciate "All That I Got is You" as much as i should've until i saw the video. That nigga was dirt ass poor.
Supreme Clientele was Ghost wit less restriction. None of that niggas lyrics made sense until u lissened to it like 6 times lol (Nutmeg, Appollo Kids, and Buck 50). That nigga Ghost showed his story tellin side when he rapped about beatin up Ma$e in a club on the song "Malcolm" and a shorty he wanted to fuck when he was a kid on "Child Story".
